This site is powered by Wordpress version 2.7 and the theme used is a cutomised version of Freshy.
You may ask why, as a designer, I have not created a bespoke design but instead have customised an existing theme. The answer is simple – in the past I have tinkered with the appearance of personal sites every time I have taken on board a new influence, thought of a new idea or when the weather outside my window changed (maybe a slight exaggeration). Anyway, constantly changing the appearance was taking up a lot of time so I have decided to stay simple and select a theme which I can regularly change with a few simple alterations.
Below I have noted the plugins used on this site.
Akismet – Akismet checks your comments against the Akismet web service to see if they look like spam or not and lets you review the spam it catches under your blog’s “Comments” admin screen.
All In One Seo Pack – Optimises your Wordpress blog for Search Engines (Search Engine Optimization).
Cforms – cforms is a highly customizable, flexible and powerful form builder plugin, covering a variety of use cases and features from attachments to multi form management, you can even have multiple forms on the same page!
Customize – Provides css based customization for themes. Lets themers offer customization options with their theme really easily, just with a few css tricks !
Flickr Rss – This plugin allows you to easily display Flickr photos on your site. It supports user, set, favorite, group and community photostreams. The plugin is relatively easy to setup and configure via an options panel. It also has support for an image cache located on your server.
Google Analyticator – Google Analyticator adds the necessary JavaScript code to enable Google Analytics logging on any WordPress blog. This eliminates the need to edit your template code to begin logging.
Maintenance Mode – Adds a splash page to your blog that lets visitors know your blog is down for maintenance. Logged in administrators get full access to the blog including the front-end.
SEO Image – SEO Friendly Images is a Wordpress optimization plugin which automatically updates all images with proper ALT and TITLE attributes. If your images do not have ALT and TITLE already set, SEO Friendly Images will add them according the options you set. Additionally this makes the post W3C/xHTML valid as well.
