My professional title may read - ’Website and Marketing Consultant – with an indepth knowledge of Design, Usability, SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and Marketing I help businesses increase internet sales and reach their full online potential’ - but I prefer to be regarded as a jack of all ‘internet’ trades. I graduated in 1999 with a degree in design and and have been working in the internet industry ever since.
On graduating I initially developed core skills in coding and wrote web apps and bespoke CMS (Content Management Solutions) using a range of languages. I then became involved in optimising the usability of a number of retail based websites and more recently I have developed my knowledge with regards to online / offline marketing and SEO (Search Engine Optimisation). Over the years I have been involved in every aspect of launching and maintaining a profitable website.
In my day to day work I use these skills to create, support and administer websites for clients of my business, Digital Design Scotland. Digital Design Scotland began trading in 2001 and concentrates on the build, ongoing support and marketing of websites which are developed with a range of CMS (Content Management Systems). We work closely with our clients to ensure their business achieves their full online potential.
